Warren Warming Center Support

Warren Emergency Management has requested assistance from our team to help staff a warming center Thursday, January 23rd through Thursday, January 30th, 2025. If you're available and willing to help, please read the instructions below.

What You Need to Do First (Required)

Important: Because we have not officially completed background checks for all members, Warren CERT needs to run a quick background check on anyone volunteering.

  2. Click "Apply to Warren CERT"
  3. Complete the form

Note: Warren CERT Director Mike Riley stated this process is for the background check/verification only. You will not be made a Warren CERT member unless you specifically want to be.

6:30 AM – 6:30 PM each day

Weather Conditions

Check current conditions before heading out

Large indoor space with tables; usually no food provided

Duties

General presence, periodic headcounts, and helping ensure things stay calm and organized

Scheduling – Let Us Know Your Availability

If you can volunteer, please send your available time blocks.

Example: "Sat 8–12, Sat 12–6, Sun 10–2"

We will build a schedule and slot volunteers accordingly.
