About ARPSC
Amateur Radio Public Service Corps is a dedicated group of volunteer amateur radio operators serving Macomb County and surrounding communities through reliable communications support for public events, emergency preparedness, and disaster response.
What We Do
We volunteer our time to provide essential communication services at a variety of community events and during emergencies. Our operators ensure seamless coordination and safety across diverse scenarios.

We work closely with local government offices and partner organizations to provide reliable communications between remote units, command posts, and Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs). Our collaborative approach ensures continuity of critical services during disruptions.

đŠī¸ SKYWARN Weather Spotters
SKYWARN is a nationwide network of volunteer weather spotters trained by NOAA's National Weather Service (NWS). These spotters provide critical ground-truth observations that complement advanced radar, satellite, and weather station data.
SKYWARN spotters report:
- Severe thunderstorms
- Tornadoes
- Hail
- Heavy snow
- Flooding
In Macomb County, we work directly with the NWS Forecast Office in White Lake. Our spotters act as the eyes and ears on the ground, helping forecasters issue more accurate forecasts and timely severe weather warnings. Together, we save lives.
Emergency Operations Centers & Training
Macomb County ARPSC maintains critical communications infrastructure to provide redundant and failsafe capabilities for Macomb County and surrounding municipalities. Our mission is to ensure government services continue with minimal interruption during local and regional emergencies.

We currently staff stations in 25 Emergency Operations Centers throughout Macomb County, with more coming online soon.
